Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 10-4pm Hoch will be at Heemet Fescht at the PA German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Rd., Kutztown, PA. She will be reading her newest book, The Bunny Brothers: Lost in the Woods at 11am and 1 pm in the schoolhouse. Hoch will also give a presentation on the topic “Games played in the One-Room School Days” at 12:30 in the school house. Hoch’s books will be available for purchase and signing. Public invited. Lots to do for children including crafts, demonstrations, a petting zoo, train rides, and more.
Tuesday, Oct. 3rd for Story Time at 10:15 am at the West Lawn/Wymoissing Hills Public Library, 101 Woodside Ave., West Lawn. Hoch will be reading her newest book, The Bunny Brothers: Lost in the Woods. Activities and crafts will follow. Books will be available of purchase and signing.
Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 7pm at the Boyertown Area Historical Society, 43 S. Chestnut St., Boyertown, PA 19504 will be presenting “One Room Schools of Days Gone By”. Hoch will read segments of Pearl of Richmond School to highlight this method of educating rural students in our area from the mid-1800’s for over a hundred years. Former students of one-room schools are urged to attend to share their own memories. Hoch will have copies of her books for sale and signing.
Saturday, Oct. 14th Dori Hoch will be at Nolde Forest Environment Education Center, 2910 New Holland Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540 at 10:00-11:30 am for a reading of The Bunny Brothers: Lost in the Woods. A Nature Walk will follow the reading as well as a craft. Safe hiking practices will be highlighted on the walk by a member of the Nolde Forest staff. Sunday, Oct. 15th Hoch will be at Firefly Bookstore, 271 W. Main Street, Kutztown, PA. 19530 from 2-4pm during Firefly’s story time. Bobby, Benjamin and the author will share The Bunny Brothers: Lost in the Woods. Activities and crafts will follow the reading. Copies of Hoch’s books will be available for purchase. Preschooler through early elementary grades will love the antics of the Bunny Brothers in their latest sage. This a free event.
Saturday, Oct. 28th from 10-11am, Dori Hoch will be the featured author at Locals to the Max at Max Crema’s Espresso & Coffee Bar, 3130 Pricetown Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522. Hoch, along with her sidekicks Bobby and Benjamin Bunny will be reading The Bunny Brothers: Lost in the Woods. This book is great for children from preschool to early elementary grades. Friday, Nov. 10th at 10:00 am Hoch will be leading a “Story Walk” with The Bunny Brothers:Lost in the Woods at the Fleetwood Park in conjunction with the Fleetwood Area Public Library.
